Meeting Minutes

• Introductions

•  Committee Reports
• Improvement Committee (i.e. Park Weather Shelter)
• Weather shelter progress (Dan): Almost done! Left to do: roof rock, plaques and plaque wall, and more fill dirt around the shelter floor
• Work party from October 12th (Dan): A small number of people showed up. We were not able to get everything finished.
• French drain (Scott): nothing to report
• Homecoming parade (Emily): We had about 15 people show up in the rain with their dogs.
• Poo and Butts (Kari): Seems like people are picking up better. Thanks to all!
  
• Second Park Search Committee (Barbra): nothing to report
  
• Friends of the Dog Park Web Site (Kari): nothing to report
   
  
•  New Business
• Meeting with Tom Grundin, Moscow's new Parks & Facilities Manager, on Nov 10th, 4pm, to introduce ourselves and discuss the general needs and issues of the dog park.
• Next steps for weather shelter: roof rock, plaques and plaque wall, and more fill dirt around the shelter floor
• Next steps for French drain: Obtain approval from city to install a French drain to handle our current drainage problems with the park pool. Cost for this project should be low, but will require volunteer labor for its installation.
  
• Plan for the Light up the Night Holiday parade: Meet near CJ’s at 6:30 pm. Bring your dogs with as much light as you can.
• Facebook: We are now on facebook!!! Thanks Mason. Come find us on www.facebook.com by searching for Friends of the Moscow Dog Park.
• Officer elections: Current officers are willing to remain in their positions unless anyone else would like to try out a position.
• December meeting? There will be no Dec meeting. We can correspond by email.
• Meeting dates for next year: First Tuesday of the month.

• Other topics?
  Aggressive dogs: The dog park is open to all friendly dogs. Aggressive dogs are asked to leave at the first sign of aggression.
   
  
• Upcoming Events/ Meeting
• Light up the Night Parade
  December 1, 2010, meet at 6:30pm, Parade starts at 7:00pm
  Please join us with your lit up dog. Check in at CJ’s to see where we are in the lineup.  This is our first appearance in this parade; let’s have a good turn out!
   
  
• Pictures with Santa
  December 11, 2010 from 10:00am-4:00pm
  Palouse Mall, near Macy’s entrance
  Bring in your animals to get their pictures taken with Santa. Makes great Holiday cards. All money raised goes directly to the Humane Society of the Palouse.
